RHOM Automotive Group was founded by Chris Rhom with a simple goal:

Create the kind of European automotive shop he believed should exist — one built around precision, honesty, technical understanding, and genuine care for the vehicles and people behind them.

Long before RHOM Automotive Group existed, Chris was already deeply involved in the world of European vehicles, motorsports, and engineering.

While working toward his engineering degree, he paid his way through school by working as a BMW and European automotive technician. What began as a way to support his education quickly became something more: a deep respect for the engineering, systems, and driving experience behind German vehicles.

That technical foundation eventually led Chris into professional motorsports, where he worked with race teams as both an engineer and crew member. The environment demanded precision, preparation, problem-solving, and attention to detail under pressure — lessons that continue to shape the philosophy behind RHOM Automotive Group today.

Over time, Chris realized he wanted to build something different from the traditional dealership or high-volume repair model.

Too often, shops were forced to prioritize:

I have worked with a number of enthusiast car shops around town and rate Rhom Auto highly among them. There is a combination of things here that warrant the praise, professionalism, communication, and care jump out. It is possible to get good work done in many cases but communication is lacking, or communication is great but the work is not up to expectations, etc. Here you come away believing that whoever worked on your car delivered a level of care that matches with your own level of care, even if that extends to writing long lists of your concerns and thoughts and taping it to the steering wheel! They will actually read it and talk with you about the work rather than doing some mysterious stuff and handing you a bill. In any case if you are passionate about performance cars give them a shot, you will likely be happy that you did.

This is one of those places that you get recommended to and your personal experience exceeds any other place you may have taken your e30 or in my case all 3 now. They are by far the most “trustworthy, honest auto shop” in town. They assign a primary mechanic to your car(s) like a primary care physician which is awesome. If your getting you car maintenance somewhere else… you have been missing out and so has your wallet.
